Thank you for visiting the Samford Valley Weather and Information web site. I hope you found it informative and useful.

The Samford Valley Weather and Information web site is a free service provided personally by Steve Parry for the benefit and use of the local community.

But it costs time and money to establish and maintain community web sites. My time and skills are donated for nothing, but the costs are mounting to continue to provide a service such as this. I prefer not to have paid ads - I find them very distracting.

I currently pay for the following out of my pocket:

Equipment costs

Equipment (hardware and software) purchase costs include:

• • • • The Davis Vantage Vue Automatic Weather Station, including hardware data buffer unit.
      • Interfacing equipment to the local server running the collection and uploading of data to the Internet.
      • The host server running the software.
      • Weatherstation software.
      • Web site WordPress Divi theme.
      • ADS-B Flight tracking hardware, antenna and server.
      • Battery backup and off-grid solar panels - dedicated to supporting the local equipment.

Ongoing costs

• • • • Annual web site hosting fees.
      • Hardware and equipment repair and replacement.
      • Software licensing.
      • AI services.
      • WordPress Divi theme software maintenance
      • Power!

If you enjoy this site and find it useful, please consider making a donation to help cover these costs and keep the site running.

Donations of any amount are welcome (for example, $20, $50 or $100). You can also choose to make an automatic monthly donation (for example, $5 or $10 per month) if you prefer.

You can donate via PayPal and Credit Cards by clicking the Donate Button in the header of this web site, or the link below. If you prefer another method, please contact me and I can provide bank details for direct deposit.

Thank you very much in advance for your support!
